Effective June 15th, 2020 Texas Governor Abbott has allowed for Youth Sports to continue with the guidance of the CDC, Texas, and Local Governments during the existing COVID-19 threat. 

 

Texas GameTime main focus is to provide the safest environment for your teams and parents with focus on the health of our community. Listed are procedures that will be implemented to provide this environment.

NOTE: Changes to procedures could be included as we continue to work with the CDC on providing safe events for all involved.

 

Its important to understand the risks of being in direct contact with anyone age 65 or older 14 days after participating in a sports event. The virus that causes COVID-19 is still circulating in our communities.  We should continue to observe practices that protect everyone, including those that are most vulnerable.

 

     MASKS: All Spectators will be required to wear masks over their nose and mouth while attending a Texas GameTime event. Failure to wear a mask will forfeit entrance into any facility being used by Texas GameTime. These masks are to be worn at all times while in the facility. All GameTimes staff will also wear masks while in the facility. This will not include team bench personal such as players and coaching staff but masks are strongly encouraged when not participating in a game or waiting for a game. 

      SOCIAL DISTANCING: All Spectators will be required to practice effective Social Distancing of 6 feet if possible. When in gym; Spectator gatherings of over 10 people will not be allowed. Within these 10 member groups please minimize in-person contact with others not in the individuals household. Shaking hands and fist bumps between players after each games conclusion will not be permitted. All facilities will be set up to help with these requirements. 

 

     SANITATION: Texas GameTime and Facility staff will be disinfecting common places of gathering throughout the event including the front gate and other places of traffic. Basketballs will also be disinfected before each game and at half time of each event. Benches will be disinfected between games. Hand Sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, soap and water, and other disinfectants will be readily available at all facilities. We strongly encourage every body involved in the event to sanitize on a regular basis.  

        SYMPTOMATIC PEOPLE: All GameTime Staff will be administering touch-less temperature checks at the door of the event  and will not be permitted to enter if there are signs of any the attached symptoms.  Texas GameTime and Facility staff have the right to administer a touch-less temperature check on anybody in the facility that may show attached symptoms. We also encourage attendees to report people that might be displaying symptoms to a GameTime or Facility staff.  We also strongly suggest that anybody showing symptoms before the event not to attend in order to ensure the safety of the rest of the population.  Touch-less Thermometers will be available at all GameTime Venues.  COVID-19 SYMPTOMS

       CROWD CONTROL: All facilities will have a clear Entrance and Exit established to avoid contact and protect social distancing. Preparations will be made by GameTime and Facility staff to avoid as much contact with doors and other normally accessible objects. Teams can enter gym 15 mins before game asking to stay inside vehicles until entering. After game team and spectators must leave gym. Can’t watch other games or mingle inside or outside. Games will be spaced to be able to leave facility and come Back.

 

 

        OCCUPANCY RATE:  Pending from CDC. Procedures will be updated when and if an occupancy rate is mandated.

 

Due to COVID-19, additional procedures and regulations may we required as events approach. We will continue to align ourselves with CDC  guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy experience. The basketball community is a family and together we can give the players a safe and healthy environment when on the court.
